Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for 8/15/2017.

Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 8/15/2017.

-500 blk Tim St, Levelland: Animal Complaint. A deputy responded to an animal cruelty complaint in the area. Multiple dogs were captured and a matter is under investigation and a report is pending.

-FM 301 at Wildcat Rd, Sundown: Traffic Complaint. A deputy was dispatched to a semi-truck stuck on Wildcat Rd. A local company had a backhoe in the area and assisted in removing the vehicle from the roadway.

-16th St at Avenue S, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy responded to locate a loose horse in the area. The horse was captured and released onto the owner’s property after being secured.

-FM 300 at FM 303, Levelland: Check Welfare. A deputy was notified of a female walking along the roadway in the area. The area was checked between Levelland and Sundown and the female was not located.

-3200 blk FM 300, Levelland: Animal Complaint. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate multiple dogs running loose along the roadway. The area was checked and no animals were observed loose or causing a traffic hazard.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Warrant Service. A deputy responded to arrest an individual related to a felony warrant. The female subject was taken into custody and booked into the jail without incident.

-200 blk West Monroe, Levelland: Assist Agency. Deputies assisted Levelland PD with a call in the area where a subject fled from officers. Deputies did not locate the subject.

Deputies also conducted follow-up investigations, served civil process, conducted close patrols/vacation watches, and patrols in all areas of the county.
