CLARIFICATION ON ROAD CLOSURE AND POWER OUTAGE AUGUST 22, 2017 
The Town of Lake Lure has received clarification from Duke Power regarding the road closure on Buffalo Shoals Road in connection with the planned power outage.
Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 7am to 6pm, Duke Power will be working on a large tree just north of Moffitt Road and Buffalo Shoals Road. For safety reasons, the roadway around Moffitt Road and Buffalo Shoals Road will be closed for through traffic. There will be a place for traffic to turn around at this location.
The schedule power outage has not changed. The outage will impact customers up Buffalo Shoals Road, north of Blarney Road. It will extend north up Buffalo Creek Rd to Grey Rock Parkway, west around Quail Ridge Rd, and southeast down Buffalo Creek Rd. and the areas around Whitney Blvd.
