Motorists are strongly encouraged to use caution while traveling through the area of SR140/Houze Rd at Hembree Rd due to MAJOR delay and congestion from construction while the intersection in being transitioned into a single lane roundabout for the next 24 hours.
This Saturday, Aug. 19, at approximately 10 a.m., GDOT contractors will remove the signal from the intersection at Houze and Hembree Roads, and the road will transition to a one-lane roundabout. (Its final configuration as a two-lane roundabout is not expected until closer to the end of the year.)
