The East Side Sewer Relief Project excavation has progressed to 105 Whitman Blvd, addresses higher than that will access from the east and lower will access from Gulf Road. Gulf Road remains closed during working hours at the intersection of Whitman Blvd.
Gulf Road remains closed at Whitman Blvd. The contractor will move his equipment on Gulf Road to accommodate emergency & school busses, but expect delays.
The contractor will assist EMS, police, Fire & School Busses through the Gulf Road work zone, but Whitman Blvd. will remain completely closed at 105 Whitman Blvd. and there will be no pass through. Gulf Road will reopen to “Local Residents Only” after construction hours. As this project moves East onto Whitman Blvd. updates will be sent out providing the street addresses where the work zone will be.
Again, construction will completely close Whitman Blvd traffic day and night with the work zone beginning at Gulf Road and moving east. This is a long term project.
Gulf Road from Hilliard to Burns remains closed to through traffic.
