Truckee Fire, CALFIRE and US Forest Service are currently working a less than 1/4 acre brush fire that is contained at this time in the Juniper Creek area off Martis Peak rd. Watch for fire equipment leaving the area.
Fire appears to be from a lightning strike from a day ago. No threat to Truckee area or Glenshire at this time. If you see smoke report it. As tempatures warm up more smoldering fires might appear from lightning strikes.
