Beginning on Monday, August 28th, 2017, 7:00am to 5:00pm (Monday thru Friday), The West Side Water Project will begin water main installation at Clinton and Lake Avenue.
Lake Avenue will be restricted to one lane of travel in each direction. Clinton Avenue Street will be closed at the intersection, during construction hours. The work will go across all lanes of travel of Lake Avenue with two lanes closed at a time. There will be lane shifts and flaggers when necessary to maintain traffic, but Lake Avenue will remain open. This lane restriction on Lake Avenue will take approximately 3 days (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday), weather permitting.
The water line installation will continue west on Clinton Avenue. The Clinton Avenue Intersection with Lake Avenue will be closed during the construction hours and residents & EMS should detour using Foster Avenue or Bell Avenue.
The water main installation will continue west on Clinton Avenue from Lake Ave and the contractor will help to accommodate the Clinton Avenue residents and EMS through the construction zone. Expect delays through this work zone.
Please note, Walnut Street has been scheduled for water main replacement prep work on Tuesday, September 5th and will be a 2-3 day shutdown.
