Personal injury crash results driver being airlifted. 
On 8/25/2017 at 10:44 am a Lowe’s delivery truck driven by Robert Nichter 40, of Warsaw Indiana failed to stop at the intersection of Syracuse Street and Main St., Milford, IN. The Lowe’s delivery truck struck a 2014 Nissan Titan being driven by Leon Garrett 72, of Milford Indiana.
The driver of the Lowe’s vehicle advised that as he approached the intersection he attempted to activate his brakes and his vehicle failed to slow by the time he engaged the emergency brake he was not able avoid the collision with the pickup truck going to the intersection.
The impact and collision and entrapped Leon Garrett who was extricated by Milford Fire Department. Leon Garrett was then airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital by Lutheran air ambulance. Kevin Kennedy 50, Milford Indiana a passenger in a Nissan Titan is also transported by amulets to the hospital for observation and treatment of minor injuries. Robert Nichter was not treated by EMS.
The crash was investigated by the Milford Police Department and was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff Department, Milford Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Syracuse EMS, and the Milford Street Department.
