“See Something Say Something” helps police catch a burglar 
On August 25, 2017, at approximately 1:45 p.m., police responded to the 2600 block of 163rd St regarding suspicious activity. Upon arrival, they observed the suspect exiting the victim's residence. The suspect tried to escape by running away, but was quickly apprehended.
The Torrance Police Department is grateful that an alert neighbor reported the activity. The neighbor observed the suspect pacing back and forth prior to walking into the victim's backyard. The neighbor knew the victims were not home, and that it was unlikely they were expecting company- that's when she notified police.
Officers discovered the suspect had the victim's jewelry and cash on her person. The suspect also had an outstanding warrant for burglary as well.
The Torrance Police Department continues to encourage its residents to report all suspicious activity. "See Something Say Something".
