Chemical Endangerment Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Gadsden woman has been arrested in connection to chemical endangerment of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Courtney Starr Hyfield/Parker, 28, of Gadsden, is charged with one count of chemical endangerment of a child, which is a felony,” investigator Brandi Fuller said.
Parker tested positive for K3 synthetics while pregnant. The illegal drugs mimic the effects of cannabis. This is Parker’s third time to face the charge of chemical endangerment.
She was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond for the chemical endangerment warrant. As a condition of her bond, Parker must successfully complete a drug treatment program and will be supervised by Etowah Community Corrections upon release.
