Water Supply – The City has received several calls about the water supply following a rumor spreading via social media yesterday and following the City of Beaumont losing its water supply this morning. The City’s water supply is the Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA); we have been in close contact with them and our water supply is still available. If the water supply were to become unavailable, we have storage in the water towers and would ask people to conserve water. But at this time, the WATER IS SAFE and OUR WATER SUPPLY IS SECURE.

Solid Waste – The City’s garbage service has still not resumed. The landfill we utilize is not open, and no other landfills are available. We are making plans to complete the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday routes as soon as possible. We will post an update as soon as we get information from the landfill. In addition, the recycling center is not available until further notice. Finally, we are finalizing plans to manage debris pick-up related to TS Harvey water damage. We will share an update soon.
