On Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, 7:00am to 5:00pm and continuing thru Friday, the West Side Water Main Project will begin water main installation at Walnut Street and Lake Avenue.
Lake Avenue will be restricted to one lane of travel in each direction. Walnut Street will be closed at the intersection during construction hours. The work will go across all lanes of travel of Lake Avenue with two lanes closed at a time. There will be lane shifts and flaggers when necessary to maintain traffic, but Lake Avenue will remain open with one lane in each direction. This lane restriction on Lake Avenue will take approximately three (3) days weather permitting.
The water line installation will continue on Walnut Street from Lake Ave and the contractor will help to accommodate the Walnut Street residents and EMS and school busses through the construction zone. Expect delays through this work zone.
