* At 255 PM EDT/155 PM CDT/, Doppler radar persistent moderate rain 
that will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. One and a 
half to three inches of rain have already fallen. Expect small 
streams and urban areas to begin to see some minor flooding soon.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Jeffersontown, St.
Matthews, Shively, Shelbyville, Shepherdsville, Lyndon and La
Grange.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
