Advisory

FLASH FLOOD ALERT UNTIL 10 PM TONIGHT! It’s hard to believe with this heat, but a flash flood warning is in effect! Be alert & stay safe!

The National Weather Service has just issued a flash flood watch for the San Gabriel Valley and other portions of southwestern California that will last through 10 p.m. tonight. It appears that a very moist and unstable air mass associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Lidia could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to our region. As a result, the National Weather Service has advised that there is a strong chance of heavy rainfall in excess of over an inch per hour occurring today. This could bring flash flooding and lighting strikes throughout Los Angeles County. City crews are on standby, and we encourage everyone be alert and stay safe!
