A band of showers with scattered thunderstorms will sink southeast through northern lower Michigan through the day. There is a marginal risk for a few severe storms for locations south and east of a line from West Branch to Oscoda. Damaging winds will be the primary threat.

There is also a high swim risk due to rip currents today for the
Lake Michigan beaches from Leelanau county southward.
