Burbank Police & Fire Dept. begin demobilization on La Tuna Fire operations.
Under the direction of the Burbank Fire Department, all Burbank Police units assigned to the La Tuna fire operation in the City of Burbank have started to demobilize. This includes the opening of all road closures with the EXCEPTION of the following:
• Sunset Canyon at Harvard Road
• Sunset Canyon at Walnut Avenue
These roads will remain closed for the time being to allow for ingress/egress of emergency vehicles and clean-up operations.
Burbank Police will continue to monitor the hillside area going forward and will be in communication with the Burbank Fire Department. I will provide updates if and when necessary, should conditions change.
On behalf of the men and women of the Burbank Police Department, I would like to thank all members of the media and community for their support over the last four days. Your assistance, professionalism, and cooperative work relationship has been instrumental in our successes.
Thank you,
Sergeant Derek Green, Press Information Officer
