Officers on-viewed a traffic collision involving two vehicles.

8/23/2017 0155 hours

Camden/Blossom Hill

Arrest: 49 year old male, resident of San Jose

Charges: Possession of controlled substance, under the influence of controlled substance

Officers conducted an enforcement stop and determined that the subject was in possession of methamphetamine and PCP. He was also displaying the objective symptoms of being under the influence. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

8/24/2017 0040 hours

300-blk Dardanelli

Arrest: 20 year old male, resident of Campbell

Charges: Burglary, possession of stolen property, violation of probation

Officers on routine patrol observed a suspicious vehicle driving without headlights in the parking lot of a commercial building. An enforcement stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver was on searchable probation. He was determined to be in possession of stolen property that had just been taken from a large construction site. All of the stolen property was recovered. Follow-up is being conducted.

Harwood/Los Gatos-Almaden

Arrest: 53 year old male, resident of San Jose; 56 year old female, resident of San Jose

Charges: Stolen vehicle, possession of controlled substance, outstanding warrants

Officers conducted a high-risk stop on an occupied stolen vehicle. The occupants were taken into custody without incident. It was determined that the driver had outstanding warrants and the passenger was in possession of methamphetamine. Further investigation determined that the female passenger was the legal owner of the vehicle. She had previously reported it stolen and did not inform the police when the vehicle was returned to her. The driver was arrested and transported to Main Jail. The passenger was cited and released.

Cherrystone/Camellia Terrace

Arrest: 40 year old male, resident of San Jose

Charges: Outstanding warrant

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person seen on a neighbor’s property. Upon their arrival, officers determined that the subject had outstanding warrants. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

8/28/2017 0026 hours

400-blk University

Officers responded to a collision involving several parked vehicles. Upon their arrival, it was determined that the driver was distracted by a verbal argument he was engaged in with his passenger. After briefly

taking his eyes off the road, he collided with two parked vehicles, went up on the curb, and landed in a front yard. The roadway was closed briefly due to debris.
