(Etowah County, Alabama) An Etowah County man lost his life in a vehicle accident Monday, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Stanley Jacob Winston, 22, of Gadsden, died after the 2001 Nissan he was driving left the roadway and slid down an embankment, colliding with several trees, on in the 1200 block of Owls Hollow Road.

Winston had been reported missing at approximately 4:54 a.m. on Monday. His vehicle was found wrecked at approximately 8:22 a.m. later the same day.

The incident was a single vehicle accident.
