08/01/17 * Larceny of Hammock
400 Block of Emerald Circle between 1100 p.m. & 12:30 a.m. unknown suspect removed resident’s hammock from her property No suspects, No witnesses
08/02/17 * Road Rage Intimidation
Main St – East Shore to U.S. 23 Driving conflicts occurred until victim confronted suspect & suspect driver verbally threatened victim – victim contacted police after incident –investigation continues
08/03/17 *Road Conflict –Felonious Assault
E. North Territorial & U.S 23 road conflict resulted in one driver fearing for his safety and displaying a long firearm as defense – officers investigated and determined no criminal intent –
08/06/17 *Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
5000 Block of Hilltop Ct - Resident returned home to discover a Best Buy delivery- resident had not ordered anything from Best Buy – Resident made contact with Best Buy which revealed her credit card was used to make such purchase – Property returned to Best Buy – Resident advised to cancel credit card and monitor her statement for any other fraudulent purchases.
08/04/17 *Hit & Run Vehicle Crash
9200 Block of Main Street - Crash report taken, no evidence left at the scene, driver of striking vehicle unidentified
08/04/17 *Larceny from Boat
9800 Block of Main Street – Owner reported that between 07/28 & 08/04 someone entered his boat and removed his fishing equipment. Investigative leads led to a possible suspect, the suspect was interviewed and it was determined the individual was not involved. No other boats reported any incidents. No evidence & no additional suspects.
08/07/17 *Hit & Run – Property Damage (non-vehicle)
7900 Block of Coyle fence & post were struck by vehicle. Vehicle identified-owner contacted & property fixed. No criminal charges pending. Victim was satisfied with the repair.
08/08/17 *Skimming Device discovered on Gas Pump
9800 Block of Main Street, Marathon Gas Station - Officers responded to meet with state employee who was assigned to check gas pumps for skimming devices. A skimming device was discovered and removed on one pump. It is not believed that this caused any credit card information to become compromised.
08/09/17 *Arrest – Possession of Marijuana
N. Main & Heidelberg Ln - Traffic Violation Stop resulted in discovery of Marijuana – driver arrested
08/10/17 *Medical Incident / Trespassing
E. North Territorial & Whitmore Lake Rd - significant leg injury at the Sunflower site by a well-meaning subject attempting to view and photograph the flowers. The injured disregarded the “no trespassing signs”. Subject was treated and transported to hospital.
08/12/17 *Arrest – Fugitive Warrants
Walnut Dr & East Shore – Traffic Violation Stop for expired plates resulted in discovery of driver wanted on two outstanding warrants – Subject arrested & ticket issued
08/12 -08/17/17 * Malicious Destruction of Property
8500 Block of Buckland –Complainant reported that someone cut down the “No Trespassing” sign – No witnesses, No suspects
08/15/17 **Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
90 Block of E 5 Mile – Victim reported that someone made unauthorized purchases with her debit card. Victim cancelled debit card and made a police report. Victim was advised to run a credit report to determine if other fraudulent actions were generated in her name. Investigation continues, awaiting evidence from debit purchase locations.
08/17/17 *Confiscated Narcotic Paraphernalia
Main & Jennings Traffic Stop violation resulted in discovery of Narcotic Paraphernalia. Paraphernalia confiscated & driver issued citations.
08/18/17 *Malicious Destruction of Property
300 Block of Emerald Circle S. – Property damage reported, investigation revealed Juvenile actions with no criminal intent & minimal damage – No prosecution desired.
08/23/17 *Larceny by False Pretenses
9400 Block of Main St –Victim used Craig’s List to find a boat repair service. Victim in need of a boat engine repair met with suspect who guaranteed the repair for a set fee. Suspect requested money for parts and later requested additional funds which victim paid. No work was started and suspect stopped returning victim’s calls. Investigation led to suspect identification. Case forwarded to prosecutor for review.
08/24/17 *Arrest – Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense
7 Mile & Earhart – Traffic Violation resulted in the discovery of an intoxicated driver. Driver was arrested - open alcohol was confiscated from the vehicle and due to a medical condition suspect was transported to hospital with a warrant to draw blood. Case awaiting lab results and will be forwarded to the prosecutor for charges.
08/26/17 *Arrest –Fugitive Warrant
9400 Block of Main St – Officer while on routine patrol discovered suspect was wanted on outstanding felony warrant for Parole Violation. Absconder was arrested without incident and transported to county jail.
08/27/17 *Felonious Assault with Vehicle
9100 Block of Main St Two acquaintances had been involved in verbal altercations & attacks – when suspect struck victims’ vehicle with his vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
08/27/17 *Arrested -Fleeing & Eluding -Operating While Intoxicated
Main & N. Main Officer observed possible drunk driver – Officer followed and observed vehicle – when officer attempted to pull driver over driver accelerated and fled. Vehicle stopped and driver was taken into custody for Operating while Intoxicated, Driving on a suspended License and Fleeing & Eluding the police. A warrant was obtained and suspect was transported to U of M hospital for a blood sample. Case is waiting lab results and prosecutors review.
08/28/17 *Fraud Report
9000 Block of Grove Victim reported that while doing business with an on-line loan company he found on the internet – he was advised to purchase gift cards and share the transaction code with the internet provider. Victim believes that he was “conned” out of a significant amount of money.
08/28/17 * Attempt Larceny of Ladder
400 Block of Turquoise – Resident was awakened (2:20am) to hear noises outside his home –when he looked out and saw a W/M running from his property. The suspect had attempted to steal resident’s ladder. The Suspect was last seen fleeing the scene in a gray or silver extended cab truck.
08/31/17 *Arrest- Fugitive Warrants
300 Block of 6 Mile Rd - Officer while on routine patrol completed an investigatory stop and discovered driver was wanted on outstanding felony warrants. Driver was taken into custody and transported to Livingston County Jail.
