Full Notification

On Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at approximately 5:40 P.M. Anderson Police Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary in progress. The location of the incident was the 2300 block of Ferry Street, Anderson. The reporting party had just returned home from work, and found a naked female asleep in his bedroom. The reporting party contacted dispatch by telephone, as he followed the female out of his home. Anderson Police Officers arrived and contacted 33 year old Michelle Irene WATKINS of Junction City California, standing on the front porch with the reporting party.

WATKINS was immediately detained and placed into a nearby patrol vehicle. During the interview with the reporting party, the officers learned that he had located WATKINS asleep in his bed when he returned home from work today. The reporting party stated he arrived home and noted a delivered package on his porch was opened and his utility knife was nearby. The victim stated he entered his locked residence and noted a sandwich with a bite missing from it was on his kitchen counter top. Next to the sandwich was an opened beverage from his refrigerator. The victim then noted someone had recently used his shower, and left female clothing on the floor.

The victim then stated he located WATKINS asleep in his bed. The victim said WATKINS was in his bed naked. The victim said he woke WATKINS up, and she got dressed and started to leave the residence. The victim called law enforcement, as he followed WATKINS out the front door. The victim said he stayed on the phone with dispatch, as he kept an eye on WATKINS. Officers arrived and found the victim on his front porch, and WATKINS sitting in a chair. WATKINS was found to have a pack of cigarettes on her person that were identified by the victim as belonging to him. WATKINS clothing was retrieved from the bathroom floor which she identified as hers.

WATKINS was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for Residential Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, and Petty Theft.
