School is back in session! If you need a physical reminder to drive carefully our officers are out on patrol! 
The bus stops were full this morning with lots of selfie taking young men and women heading to their first day of school. Saw lots of smiling faces as well (mostly parents).
Please remember the basics of keeping yourself and others safe never change; If you are walking...focus on walking and being aware of your surroundings, if you are driving watch your speed, watch for pedestrians, be courteous and mindful of other drivers.
Most importantly...PUT THE PHONE DOWN! Whether you are walking or driving if you are looking at your phone and not completely stationary you are putting your life and the lives of others at risk. Be safe and make it a great school year!
