**Hurricane Irma – Update**
As Hurricane Irma steadily heads inland towards Georgia, the National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Morgan County in anticipation of torrential rains, strong winds, possible tornadoes and severe flooding as the tropical storm traverses the area.
Consequently, the Morgan County Board of Education has canceled classes at all Morgan County Schools for both Monday and Tuesday.
Residents are strongly encouraged to secure all outdoor furniture, pets and anything else that can be easily moved by the adverse effects of this severe storm.
