LAKE LURE AREA - HIGH WIND WARNING AND FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOTICE 
This is an advisory message from the Town of Lake Lure concerning Tropical Storm Irma:
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for our area until 2 am Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Lake Lure also remains under a Flash Flood Watch with moderate to heavy rain expected now through Tuesday morning. Rainfall amounts up to 4 inches is anticipated. Strong winds and saturated soils may lead to power outages in this area. Please remain alert to the latest forecasts and prepare for possible power outages.
