Beginning Wednesday, September 13, you will not be able to turn from East Front Street on to Pine Street between the hours of 7:35 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on school days. This traffic calming measure is in effect to prevent students from being dropped off in the middle of the street and crossing in front of vehicles that are using the proper drop off lane. Over the years the school and police department have attempted to resolve this problem through education and enforcement, however, students are still being dropped off in areas not designated for drop off. This lane closure is being done to prevent a potentially tragic incident. Please pay attention to the closure and respect the job of the crossing guards in trying to keep everyone's children safe.
