Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had been abandoned in a parking lot. It was determined that the vehicle had previously been reported stolen to the San Jose Police Department. The vehicle was recovered and released to the owner.

Officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop on a vehicle that had been reported stolen to the San Jose Police Department. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was located unoccupied.

Arrest: 44 year old female, resident of Santa Cruz
Charges: Outstanding warrants, possession of controlled substance
Officers conducted an enforcement stop and determined that an occupant had outstanding warrants. She was also found to be on searchable probation. A search yielded methamphetamine. She was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

Arrest: 38 year old male, resident of San Jose
Charges: Under the influence of a controlled substance, resisting arrest
Officers located a suspicious vehicle and determined that the occupant was displaying the objective signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail. The subject became combative during the booking process.

Officers responded to a medical event during which the caller was having trouble getting a person out of the swimming pool. Upon the initial officer’s arrival, he jumped into the swimming pool to assist in the collaborative life-saving efforts of all first responders.

Arrest: 54 year old male, resident of San Jose
Charges: Possession of controlled substance
Officers conducted an enforcement stop and determined that the occupant was on searchable probation and recently released on bail on a drug charge. A search was conducted and the subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

Arrest: Male juveniles
Officers conducted an enforcement stop after observing a passenger consume alcohol and throw the empty beer can from the vehicle. It was determined that all of the occupants were juveniles. All had been drinking except the driver. They were cited and released to their parents.

Arrest: 30 year old male, resident of Sunnyvale
Charges: Outstanding warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia
Officers conducted an enforcement stop and determined that the driver had outstanding warrants. He claimed to be employed with a food delivery service but did not have any food. A search was conducted and he was found to be in possession of hypodermic syringes and a methamphetamine pipe. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

Officers responded to a residential burglary in progress. The homeowner reported someone breaking into her home through the back door. Officers arrived and found the back door smashed open. Follow-up investigation is being conducted.
