Last night we received a report of suspicious activity in and around mailboxes on Woodland. An alert Citizen observed a Silver '01 Chevy Tahoe stopped at the Mailboxes on Woodland with one male subject out of the car in the shadows. A plate number was obtained and passed to ODPD. Later we received a complaint of reckless driving on Ogden Rd involving the same vehicle.

At this time we have no complaints of missing mail and we do not know that any mailboxes were tampered with. We advise Citizens if you have items missing from your mailbox contact ODPD at 762-4125 and/or Postal Authorities. We do have owner information of the suspect vehicle.

A reminder to report any suspicious activity to ODPD Officers by calling 762-4125. After hours the office number rings into the Porter County Dispatch Center and an Officer will be dispatched. We thank the alert Citizens who reported this to us last night, you are our eyes and ears.
