Good Thursday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 9/13/2017.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to a call of a reckless drier traveling westbound in the area. The vehicle was located and later released.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy responded to a call of a reckless driver traveling from Smyer toward Levelland. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-Hwy 114 a County Rd, Levelland: Reckless Driver. A deputy was notified of a reckless driver traveling into Levelland. The vehicle was located by Levelland PD and a traffic contact was made.

-100 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy was dispatched to a residence related to a theft of service complaint. A representative from an electric company filed the complaint and the matter is under investigation.

-1400 blk McHam Rd, Levelland: Juvenile Complaint. A deputy responded to a call about a truant juvenile. The family was contacted and the juvenile was released to a guardian.

-500 blk Travis, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy responded to a child custody complaint. Civil remedies were advised to all parties and the child was released to the custodial parent.

-1800 bk Maize Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a residence related to a domestic disturbance. The complainant did not want to pursue charges related to the matter. A report was taken and parties separated.

-FM 168 at Hwy 114, Smyer: Traffic Complaint. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a traffic hazard in the roadway. The hazard was located and the roadway was cleared.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
