Police make arrests to ensure safe demonstrations.
Berkeley Police and law enforcement partners arrested nine people as part of efforts to manage demonstrations and counter-demonstrations at and near the UC Berkeley campus.
There were no reported injuries due to violence and no reports of any damage to property.
