H.M. Miller Construction, H.R. Gray and the City of Akron are currently working on the final portion of sewer separation work at the intersection of S. Arlington St. and Johnston St.

Beginning Monday, September 18th, the intersection will need to be CLOSED to ALL traffic. The majority of the S. Arlington St. northbound traffic will be detoured using Lovers Lane, Brown St. and E. Exchange St.; local northbound traffic will be detoured using 2nd Ave., River St., Case Ave. to E. Market St.; Johnston Street traffic from the east side of S. Arlington St. will be detoured using River St., Case Ave. and E. Market St.; S. Case Ave. traffic will be detoured using River St. and 2nd Ave.

Access will be maintained for the local businesses, residents and emergency vehicles. This closure is expected to last until Sunday, October 1st.
