Update: At approximately 7:45 am both subjects were located near the area that the suspect last fled to. The juvenile was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation.

This case is still under investigation and charges are pending.

Late last night at approximately 11:55 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department attempted to make a traffic stop on a 2005 black VolksWagen Beetle in the area of Central Fwy and North 8th Street. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and a short pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle was fleeing southbound on the Loyd Ruby overpass and speeds reached in excess of 100 mph. For the safety of the public, officer and suspect the pursuit was terminated. The suspect was last seen fleeing towards the Jacksboro exit.

At 12:05 am there was a report of a rollover accident involving a black 2005 VolksWagen in the area of Petrolia Road and North Highway 79. Witnesses stated that a juvenile female was ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was seen picking the child up and fleeing on foot into a nearby wooded area. The condition of the child is unknown at this time.

Police are currently searching for Jose Muro (01-21-91) and Leha Muro (01-03-14).
