September is National Prepardness month, it is also the onset of the hurricane season, as evidence by Harvey and Irrma. Hence, September becomes the ideal time to consider your household preparedness. Either now, or at the slightest indication of a signicant weather event, seize the opportunity to prepare. FEMA, the Red Cross, CDC, etc. have web sites that provide an almost list of preparedness ideas.
Neighbor to Neighbor
Think about partnering with a neighbor or neighbors in an emergency, especially consider elderly neighbors and/or those with health problems. If you have a neighbor or friend that you believe would particularly vulnerable in an emergency ( a sustained power loss), please.give consideration to alerting the borough health nurse (Arlene Faustini) for inclusion of your neighbor or friend on her confidential At Risk list.. Nurse Faustini can be reached at 201-599-6289.
