Mail Theft Reported 
On September 21, 2017 a resident in the 1200 Block of Highway 314 reported several checks stolen out of his mailbox. The checks had been placed in the mailbox for pickup by the US Postal Service.
A witness observed a tan vehicle stop near the mailbox at approximately 10:30am. A light skin tone female exited the vehicle and approached the mailbox.
Please use caution placing mail in your mailbox for pickup. Items with financially identifying information should be taken to the Post Office to help avoid this type of crime. Another option is the electronic bill pay offered by banks and vendors.
