Chula Vista Police Department Press Release:

The Chula Vista Police officer involved in Tuesday night’s officer involved shooting is identified as Officer David Sachs. Officer Sachs has been employed by the Police Department for 1.5 years and has prior law enforcement experience. Officer Sachs is recovering from multiple stab wounds to his head and arm and is expected to make a full recovery. The Chula Vista Police Department would like to give thanks for the outpouring of support received from the community.
