Good Monday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 9/22/17, through Sunday, 9/24/17.

9/22/17

-3200 blk FM 2130, Anton: Theft. Deputies were dispatched to a location related to the theft of a vehicle and trailer. It waslater reported the truck and trailer were recovered separately in Lubbock County. Investigators are following up on information and the case is under investigation.

-600 blk Timmons, Ropesville: Lost Property. A deputy responded to a call about a resident unable to find property in the residence. An information report was taken, and no offenses were reported.

-100 blk Franklin, Smyer: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the area. Deputies met with all parties and no offenses were reported. The disturbance was verbal only and parties separated.

-Hwy 114 at Hummingbird Rd, Smyer: Vehicle Crash. Deputies were dispatched to assist at the scene of a crash at the intersection. Deputies directed traffic while the scene was being investigated.

9/23/17

-1800 blk 9th St, Levelland: Assault. Deputies responded to meet with a complainant regarding an assault that occurred at a different location earlier in the day. The individual reported being assaulted by her spouse. Information was collected and a report was taken.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Reckless Driver. Deputies were dispatched to search the area after receiving a call of a reckless driver traveling westbound in Hwy 114 from Smyer. Deputies checked the area from Smyer to Levelland and the vehicle was not located.

-3900 blk Mason Rd, Anton: Shots Fired. A caller notified deputies of an individual shooting form the roadway in the area. Shortly after, the individual notified deputies the shooter drove into Lubbock County. No vehicle description was provided.

-Hwy 114 at Nightingale Rd, Smyer: Reckless Driver. Deputies were dispatched to the east side of Smyer related to a reckless driver who had stopped along the roadway. The area was searched and no vehicles matching the description provided were located.

-1700 blk Avenue I, Levelland: Agency Assist. Deputies assisted Levelland PD officers at the scene of a reported disturbance in the area.

-700 blk S. Slaughter, Sundown: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was notified of an open door at a building in the area. A representative was contacted and the building was cleared and secured. No offenses were reported.

9/24/17

-700 blk Spencer, Anton: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence. All parties stated the disturbance was verbal only and parties were separated.

-2000 blk W. FM 300, Levelland: Shots Fired. Deputies responded to a complaint of shots being fired in the area. It was determined the resident had a pit on his property he could shoot in. No offenses were reported or observed.

Deputies also conducted patrols in areas of the county, close patrols/vacation watches, investigative follow up activities, and civil process service.
