Victim: Louis Justin Diaz (22) Santa Ana
Synopsis:
On Monday, September 25, 2017, at 7:06 PM, the Santa Ana Police Department received calls of a hit and run with a pedestrian down in the parking lot at Centennial Park (3000 W. Edinger Avenue). Police Officers found a Hispanic male in his early 20’s down in the parking lot. Orange County Fire Authority Medics responded, treated and transported the victim to a local trauma center. Doctors declared the victim deceased a short time later.
The preliminary investigation revealed an altercation occurred in the parking lot prior to the hit and run. Dozens of park visitors were in the park at the time of the incident.
