On Thursday, September 28, 2017 at approximately 9:50am, Hope Mills Police Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 5900 block of Hunting Ridge Road in reference to a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers found a male victim that had suffered a stab wound during the disturbance. Officers also learned, Jonathan Ryan Jones, 31 of the 5900 block of Hunting Ridge Road, Hope Mills, was the individual responsible for stabbing the victim. Jones was taken into custody at the scene and was later transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $50,000.00 bond for the following offense:
