HMPD Arrests Man for Felony Break-In.

On Sunday, September 24, 2017 Hope Mills Police Officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of North Main Street in reference to a break-in that had been discovered by the resident. After the Officers completed their report, the case was forwarded to the Hope Mills Police Department Detective Division for further investigation. During the course of their investigation, Detectives learned that Daniel Keith West, 52 of the 5900 block of Ridgefield Avenue, Hope Mills, was responsible for the break-in. On the morning of Friday, September 29, an off-duty Hope Mills Police Officer saw West in the area of Golfview Drive and Nicolet Drive and contacted on-duty Investigators and Officers to respond to his location. West was located Golfview Drive by the responding Officers and was taken into custody without incident. West was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $10,000.00 bond for the following charges:

2 Felony Counts of Breaking and Entering
2 Felony Counts of Larceny after Breaking and Entering
2 Felony Counts of Possession of Stolen Property
2 Felony Counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense
