Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 10/2/17.

-FM 301 at Gusher Rd, Sundown: Theft. A deputy was dispatched to a theft complaint in the area. The complainant reported multiple items were taken from a site. The information is being collected and a report is pending.

-100 blk Ellwood, Anton: Assault. A deputy completed a report related to an assault that occurred last week. Information was taken and a report was completed.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Animal Complaint. A deputy took information related to a reported animal complaint. It was determined the incident occurred in Levelland and the information was directed to Levelland PD and Animal Control.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy was requested to meet with an inmate at the jail regarding an issue over property at his residence. The individual reported someone moved is property. While speaking with other involved parties it was determined the issue was civil in nature and remedies were advised.

-FM 303 near Justin Rd, Sundown: Vehicle Crash. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a vehicle crash. The roadway was clear on arrival. The deputy provided traffic control assistance while a power company repaired damage to a pole related to the crash.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, investigative follow up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 10/3/17 at 0800 hours: 55 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 6 out-of-county.
