Debris Cleanup
CITY OF NEDERLAND
PUBLIC NOTICE –
HARVEY DEBRIS CLEAN-UP & TRASH SERVICE
October 2, 2017
The Harvey debris clean-up is on-going. As we continue the operation, we want to remind people to separate their debris piles:
1. Green Waste (limbs, tree branches, log, leaves, and vegetation);
2. Construction Debris (drywall, lumber, carpet, and furniture);
3. Appliances;
4. Electronics; and
5. Household Hazardous Materials
It is essential for the debris to be placed as close to the curb as possible. The collection of Household Hazardous Materials has not begun; the debris contractor is preparing to commence that pick-up.
The City’s trash trucks continue to support the debris contractor, which continues to delay regular trash and green waste service. We ask for your patience as we attempt to complete the debris clean-up with the resources reality posed by two significant hurricanes weeks apart.
If you have a trash or green waste pile that has been in front of your home for over three weeks, please call the Solid Waste Department at 723-1541; a work order will be prepared to collect the pile as quickly as possible. If you have any questions or complaints in regards to the City’s debris clean-up operation, please call the City Manager’s Office at 723-1503.
