***PRESS RELEASE UPDATE: WHATABURGER ROBBERIES ***
On 5/17/2017, the Red Oak Police Department released a press release of the aggravated robbery of Whataburger located at 215 S. State Highway 342 that took place on 5/16/2017 at 2:57 AM. The same Whataburger was robbed again on 9/7/2017 at 3:01 AM. Both of these robberies involved two Hispanic males between the ages of 16-22 and were believed to be the same individuals. The Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division has identified both subjects involved in these robberies based on information being obtained from the Waxahachie Police Department and Ferris Police Department. The first subject was identified as Bustamante, Issaai (18 YOA) of Red Oak. The second subject has been identified as a JUVENILE from Red Oak and a Directive to Apprehend is being issued for this subject. On 10/5/17, Mr. Bustamante was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery in connection with the May 16th and September 7th robberies and is currently being held at the Ellis County Jail on a $1,000,000.00 bond.
