Full Notification

The Johnson County 911 Center has reported to the Sheriff's Office that they have fielded four phone calls today from residents on suspected scam artist. The caller is identifying himself as a deputy with the Sheriff's Office. He is telling the homeowner that they must pay him money or a warrant will be issued for their arrest. The call appears to come from a local number. We want to remind everyone that we the police will never ask you for money in this manner. We will never call you concerning a warrant. If the phone number does not look familiar do not answer. If you do answer hang up immediately and do not engage in a conversation with the caller. Report suspicious activity to your local law enforcement agency.
