Newberry County Coroner’s Office along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a motor vehicle versus 18 wheeler collision that occurred on October 6, 2017 at approximately 2:50 pm at the intersection of SC Highway 34 and General Henderson Road in Newberry County.
According to Coroner Laura Kneece, the 56 year old driver of a Ford F150, has been identified as Ms. Nanette Wilson Workman, of Newberry, was pronounced on scene. An autopsy was performed on October 7, 2017 concluded pending further studies. There was no evidence showing that Ms. Workman was restrained in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
This incident remains under investigation by Newberry County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
