Updated status for City of Fairfield residents:
The County of Solano is reporting the Atlas Fire (Napa) has spread into Green Valley. Evacuations are in place in that area.
Even though the fire is approximately 3 miles from the city limits near the Eastridge and Rancho Solano neighborhoods, the community is expected to be entering a critical wind/weather event beginning this morning at 11:00 a.m. Winds are predicted to be volatile and gusty.
All residents in the Eastridge and Rancho Solano neighborhoods are encouraged to pack a “Ready-to-Go” bag with all essential papers and medicines and be prepared to leave on short notice. There is no evacuation notice at this time.
