West Covina Police Department Seeks Public’s Help In Identifying Possible Witnesses of a Hit and Run
WCPD Case No. 17-7415

On Thursday September 28, 2017 at approximately 12:52 AM, West Covina Police responded to a call of a hit and run collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Azusa Ave and Francisquito Ave, West Covina. When officers arrived they found the victim, 30 yr old female of West Covina, lying in the street, unconscious and unresponsive. The West Covina Fire Department responded and treated the victim at the scene. The victim was transported by ambulance to Pomona Valley Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
The vehicle who struck the pedestrian fled the scene and at this time we have no description of the suspect vehicle.

We are looking for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the accident. We believe a possible witness to the accident was seen exiting the 7-11 Store at the intersection and stopped to render aid. The witness was driving a dark colored Porsche, Panamera and left prior to police arriving on scene. A second possible witness was driving a tow truck and turned on his flashing amber lights just north of the intersection and may have seen the accident.

If you know who these witnesses may be, we are asking for their assistance. As of today, the case remains unsolved and the West Covina Police Department is asking for the public’s help or any witnesses with information to contact Detectives at (626) 939-8557.
