Morgan Hill Officer Todd Davis was working patrol on Oct. 4, 2017 and heard on the police radio that Fire and Paramedics were responding to a Medical Aid call . A 77 year old Morgan Hill resident was unresponsive and not breathing, Officer Davis was in the vicinity and advised Dispatch that he was close and would be responding immediately. Officer Davis arrived on scene well before Morgan Hill Fire and Paramedics. Officer Davis responded inside the home with his medical bag and Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.). He assessed the situation and placed the A.E.D. on the patient and began Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.) for approximately 5 minutes until Fire and Paramedics arrived and took over.
This story has a happy ending thanks to the quick thinking of Officer Davis and the patient survived this encounter and is on the road to recovery.
