Search in Progress for Hebron Man in Predatory Criminal Sex Assault

A search is continuing Friday for a 26-year-old Hebron man who fled on foot from the scene of a Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
At approximately 6:45 a.m., the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance in 12000 block of Hebron Road in unincorporated Hebron. Upon arrival, the responding deputies were informed that a man named Esau Ancheyta Hernandez had sexually assaulted a child at that residence. After being confronted by family members, Hernandez fled on foot from the scene.
A large multi-jurisdictional search, deploying multiple K-9’s, drones, and a helicopter, was conducted in the area of Hebron Road and the Illinois/Wisconsin State Line, but Hernandez was not located. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a teal shirt, and tennis shoes. He is 5’6”, weighs approximately 135 lbs, and has dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Authorities have obtained an arrest warrant for the below-listed charge and bond amount.
