HARVEY DEBRIS CLEAN-UP FINAL PASS
HARVEY DEBRIS CLEAN-UP
FINAL PASS – October 23rd
October 13, 2017
The City will begin the THIRD AND FINAL PASS for Harvey-related debris on Monday, October 23rd. All debris from the storm, must be placed by the curb in the City right-of-way by this date; due to liability concerns, the City trash trucks and the DRC equipment cannot go onto private property to push the debris to the curb. The debris piles should be separated as such:
1. Green Waste (limbs, tree branches, log, leaves, and vegetation);
2. Construction Debris (drywall, lumber, carpet, and furniture);
3. Appliances;
4. Electronics; and
5. Household Hazardous Materials
The City’s trash trucks continue to support the debris contractor, but we are now running the regular trash and green waste routes with several of our trash trucks. We ask for your patience as we attempt to complete the debris clean-up with the resources reality posed by two significant hurricanes weeks apart. If you have any questions or complaints in regards to the City’s debris clean-up operation, please call the City Manager’s Office at 723-1503.
