Joint Statement from Novato Police and Fire

***There are currently NO fires in Marin County***
***There are currently NO fires immediately threatening Novato or Marin County***

The City of Novato and Novato Police and Fire have mobilized to receive new Sonoma County evacuees at the Fireman’s Fund parking lot as an evacuee staging area. We are prepared to medically triage and provide temporary refuge for those escaping the rapidly developing events in the Sonoma Valley. Evacuees from this location will be redirected to evacuations centers in the region.

There will likely be significant traffic congestion near Fireman’s Fund. Please avoid the area and exercise patience. Volunteers and supplies are not needed at this time. Please do not come to the location as unnecessary people will compromise our efforts. We will advise if volunteering or donation opportunities change.
