Day 6 Fire Update: No Fire Activity in Cotati

Day 6 Update #2: Cotati continues to be safe from any fire activity. Our website has resources available for all things fire related, including current evacuations and fire maps. You can access it at www.cotaticity.org.

Tomorrow is forecast to have little to no wind, which can lead to very smoky conditions.  Please see the Bay Area Air Quality Board for recommendations, including wildfire safety tips at http://www.baaqmd.gov/about-air-quality/incidents-and-advisories/wildfire-safety

The Local Assistance Center has been opened in downtown Santa Rosa. This is a one-stop-shop with critical services for people who have been impacted by the fires.  Hours and location can be found on the shared link below.

We will continue to update if conditions change.

Stay safe, Cotati & Friends!

Shared from the City of Santa Rosa:
Residents Impacted by the Fires, the LOCAL ASSISTANCE CENTER is HERE FOR YOU!
The City of Santa Rosa and the County of Sonoma are opening a Local Assistance Center  which is a one stop location where those affected by the Sonoma County fires can go for essential resources and assistance. Representatives from City, County, State and Federal agencies will be available. Residents and business operators can prepare now for this opportunity by collecting any personal  documentation and paperwork they may have available, such as insurance policy numbers, birth certificates, driver’s license, social security card, passport, veterans’ information, etc. It is helpful to have this information available but not required in order to receive assistance.

Where: Press Democrat Building in Downtown Santa Rosa at 427 Mendocino Ave, between Ross and 5th Streets.
Time: 9:00am to 7:00pm, daily for at least two weeks

The LAC is accessible by Sonoma County Transit and CityBus via route 1. Parking is free off of B Street in the city lot. This site is wheelchair accessible. Spanish translators and child care will be available.
