Patrol Sergeant Promotion 
Today, the Ripon Police Department announced the promotion of Officer Alex Burgos to the rank of Patrol Sergeant. Sgt. Alex Burgos has been employed with the department for 16 years. Sgt. Burgos previously worked assignments in patrol, investigations and SWAT.
Department spokesperson, Lt. Steve Merchant said, “Alex is a tactical expert and a veteran investigator who has earned the respect of his peers. He will be a great addition to our supervisory team. On behalf of the entire Ripon Police Department, we would like to congratulate Alex Burgos on his selection to rank of Patrol Sergeant.”
