Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews completed repair to the broken 12-inch main and restored water service at 5 PM. The repair was complicated due to the presence of other underground utilities.
Work continues to refill the repair trench and put back a guard rail that had to be temporarily removed to allow for repair. Only two west-bound lanes remain open at the site. Avoid the area if possible or drive with caution while passing through this corridor. The BWS continues to work with State and City agencies to implement traffic mitigation measures.
